Dr Cotrufo has presented his experience of breast surgery to the European Society of Plastic Surgery and to the international meeting of Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Breast Surgery, he has also advised the medical supply industry on new trends in reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery.
To develop his surgical expertise Dr Cotrufo is engaged at the Head&Neck Unit of the University College Hospital performing macro- and microsurgical facial reconstructions following major traumas, resection of cancer and facial reanimation following palsy of the facial nerve. He is also pioneering the treatment of contraction and asymmetry of the face and neck by injection of adipose-derived stem cells.
Pursuing a personal passion Dr Cotrufo has also trained to perform the highest standard of follicular unit extraction (FUE) and follicular unit transfer (FUT) for the treatment of male and female baldness. His skills in microsurgery combined with his expertise in head and neck surgery enable him to offer state of the art of hair restoration for patients with differing clinical conditions
