Until recently scars have only been able to be treated by creams that support the skins recovery or surgery to reduce their size. Now there is Fraxel® which in addition to providing exceptional results offers the only treatment option when the position or nature of a scar makes it impossible to treat by other means.
Fraxel® works by targeting scar tissue using fractional laser technology, the laser clears the skin of damaged cells whilst stimulating collagen production. It also aids healing because as new healthy tissue is formed it tightens around the area of the scar to leave refreshed skin that is smoother, brighter and more refined.
The 111 Harley St. study is systematically documenting the impact of Fraxel® treatments including duration of treatment, intensity, receptivity of different skin types and the effect on different types of scars.
By perfecting the use of Fraxel® on scar tissue we are able to provide world leading scar treatments and once complete the study will be made available to the broader medical community.
