As the face ages it loses volume resulting in a hollowing of the cheeks, eyelids, temples and other areas. This brand new treatment, direct from the USA, replaces this loss of volume with the body’s own stem cells to achieve dramatic results.

It is a popular misconception that stem cells only occur in embryos, in fact they occur all over the body including within fat cells. It is now possible to extract fat stem cells (Progenitor cells), separate them from unwanted matter and create a stem cell rich solution that can be injected into the face.

Not only do these Progenitor cells fill the face out naturally but they also encourage healthy development.

This is the least invasive facelift, suited to those who are just beginning to need some rejuvenation in the bottom part of their face, which begins to sag first. A Mini Lift enhances facial bone structure and rejuvenates in subtle details creating a truly natural lift.

A brow lift is a subtle lifting of the skin of the forehead often combined with some removal of underlying muscle and tissue to give a more youthful appearance to the upper part of the face. Surgery will correct drooping of eyelids, loose skin and give some improvement to facial lines.

Blepharoplasty is a treatment which removes excess fat from the upper and lower eyelid. This leads to a fresher, wide-awake look that suggests a more youthful vitality.

Most face lifts are conducted under general anaesthesia.

Patients will usually experience some discomfort after surgery. Dr Yannis’s team will ensure that everything is done to minimise this, from the prescription of pain killers to the best after care advice including the option of an overnight stay in hospital.

During surgery the facial tissue undergoes a degree of stress so immediately following treatment a pale bruised and puffy face is to be expected.

Patients can also expect to experience numbness of the skin which is quite normal and will progressively ease over time.

Most stitches will be removed 5 days after the operation.
