Potenza RF Microneedling for Acne and acne scars

Before and After of Potenza

How does the technology work?

The microneedling treatment will help trigger the body’s natural healing process through needles penetrating the epidermis and encouraging collagen and elastin production. In its need to rejuvenate and revitalise skin, the process helps accelerate these essential building blocks that create a smoother and radiant complexion overall. The actual technology itself aids a faster healing process than traditional microneedling treatments while revealing advanced and visible results with minimal downtime.

Aside from being ultra-advanced, it can also be ultra-customisable. There are a range of different tips that can be tailored to your skin concern. The most common tip is this one which is a square shaped S Tip.

Other factors that can be customised are the needle depth, usually we treat between 0.25-2.o0 mm into the skin. The speed of the needles and how fast they enter the skin can also be altered.

The technology can also be altered too. With Potenza we treat using bipolar o5 monopolar frequencies. Bipolar radiofrequency targets a smaller level of skin tissues so there may be less of a physical heating sensation that is typical when undergoing radiofrequency treatments. Generally the bipolar RF is the all-rounder setting we typically treat on, however, monopolar can we useful when wanting to treat the deep layers of skin or target folds, wrinkles or furrows of the skin.

To find out if your skin would best benefit from a bipolar radiofrequency treatment or monopolar treatment would be to ask your Aesthetician, or book in for a bespoke skin consultation so we can assess your skin and understand what type of result you’re looking for.

Does Potenza hurt?

Some patients may experience slight discomfort but with everyone’s threshold pain varying this can be difficult to pinpoint. However, during the treatment, the skin is numbed for around 45 mins-1 hours so any discomfort experienced will be greatly reduced.

Some have described it as feeling like a slight stinging and the skin feels very hot within, which is very normal signs that the treatment is working!

How many Potenza treatments are needed before seeing results?

Typically results can be seen 1-2 treatments after, but the building of collagen and elastin can be expected to be seen anywhere between 4-6 weeks after treatment, with results lasting up to 18 weeks.

With Potenza, you will notice tighter, clearer and smoother skin.
