 What is ‘Brotox’ and Botox?

Brotox is essentially no different to regular Botox – just blended with the word bro to target the men shaping the aesthetic industry and a nod to the rise of men-centric grooming habits.

Botox and brotox, therefore, are both botulinum toxin – the globally-known anti-ageing and anti-wrinkle injection to relax overactive facial muscles.

How does Botox work?

When precisely injected, Botox is an extremely versatile treatment. Alongside being highly effective at targeting the signs of ageing and visible static wrinkles – the more permanent lines developed from frequent facial movements – it can also help treat a range of other issues. Some being:

When administered by one of our expert medical injectors, Botox works on a sub-dermal level. When placed directly beneath the wrinkle, it temporarily blocks the chemical release of acetylcholine. Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter responsible for triggering muscle movements, and when inhibited it helps to smooth fine lines and soften any defined grooves in your complexion.

In the article, he says he ‘sees younger people’ and men ‘looking at pre-emptive ways to keep their skin in good condition’ – and Preventative Boxtox is definitely one of them!

As founder of our 111 Harley St. clinic and 111SKIN, he knows that taking care of the skin is nothing to be taken lightly.
